Two arrested in armed robbery

 IT DIDN’T TAKE LONG FOR  KINGSTON POLICE TO ARREST A PAIR OF SUSPECTS

IT DIDN’T TAKE LONG FOR KINGSTON POLICE TO ARREST A PAIR OF SUSPECTS — WANTED FOR AN ARMED ROBBERY AT AN OFF-CAMPUS QUEEN’S RESIDENCE.  THE ROBBERY HAPPENED EARLY TUESDAY MORNING IN THE PARKING LOT OF “AN CLACHAN” RESIDENCE ON VAN ORDER DRIVE. A VICTIM WAS ROBBED BY TWO MASKED MEN — ONE OF THEM WAS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN BRANDISHING A KNIFE. THE SUSPECTS MADE OFF WITH THE VICTIM’S WALLET AND OTHER BELONGINGS. IT TURNS OUT BOTH MEN WERE ALREADY KNOWN TO POLICE.

“THE STREET CRIME UNIT AS WELL AS OUR MAJOR CRIME UNIT PICKED UP THE AND LUCKILY WE GOT GOOD SUPPORT FROM THE PUBLIC AND WE GOT A GOOD DESCRIPTION OF THE VICTIM AND WE WERE QUICKLY ABLE TO COME TO A RESOLUTION OF THIS WE IDENTIFIED TWO MALES THAT WERE KNOWN TO US FROM PREVIOUS DEALINGS THEY WERE ARRESTED WE RECOVERED A WEAPON AND THEY’RE FACING ROBBERY CHARGES AS WELL AS A NUMBER OF BREACHING THEIR CONDITIONAL RELEASES FROM COURT.”
