Queen’s expert predicts low turnout for provincial vote

Kingston, ON, Canada / CKWS TV

A Queen’s University political studies professor is predicting a disappointing voter turnout for Thursday’s provincial election.

Jonathon Rose calls the three main provincial party leaders “uninspiring” and adds that their negative campaigns will discourage voters from getting involved.

Ontario’s voter turnout has been in decline for decades.

It hit an historic low of 48 percent in the 2011 election.
