KINGSTON – If you’re hitting up the many trails at Lemoine Point in the upcoming weeks you may notice some construction. The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority will be doing some renos to the area which include upgrading old signage, adding new points of interest signs and replacing the kiosks. Later in the fall trail one will be re-routed and sections of trail two and four will be merged into one. The upgrades aim to make the greenspace more user-friendly, increase safety and conserve existing habitats.
Krista Fazackerley, Communications Coordinator:
“Most importantly to protect the habitat of Lemoine Point. That’s mainly what our focus is. We want to make sure that we’re in harmony with the surroundings. People love to go out and walk their dogs… just enjoy nature. But it’s also important to protect that nature as well.”
