The Amherstview Junior C Jets drop the puck on a new season this weekend….and the boys in green-yellow and white cant wait to get started…

Adam Alcorn/ Jets Captain
“I’m really excited to get the season started, we have a lot of new guys that have a lot of speed and a lot of talent and I’m really excited to see them get started.”

Alcorn likes what he sees with the last line of defense–goaltenders Adam Redgate and Quinn Cota

“Ya, I’m really excitedto see the goalies get started this year, Redgate is coming into his last year and he’s really strong in between the pipes and Quinn Cota is also a strong goalie, we ran into him last year and he shut the door on us so I’m looking forward to seeing them get started.”

Now 20-years old, Alcorn is entering his 5th season of Junior C hockey..the Greater-Kingston graduate is proud to be the Jets captain.

“It means a lot to me..I’ve been here 5-years and I feel I have a lot to give back to the team and a lot to show the new players and I feel that I’m the right guy for the job…I’m not too loud in the dressing room..for me I like to lead by example with my play on the ice but when I’m in the dressing room I like to keep the guys calm–not allow them to get worked up over anything and just keep the game going smoothly.’
