It’s the calm before the season opening storm. The Kingston Frontenacs can’t wait for things to get started — they’ll raise the curtain on a brand new hockey season next Friday.

“Practice is nice — working hard day in and day out feels good — but i think everyone wants the real thing and that’s next Friday and i can’t wait for it.”
For Liam Murray and the rest of his teammates they will indeed have to wait for opening night — but in the meantime its more practice — more teaching and more learning will have to “wait” for it.
“It is — it’s a great time for practice — it’s a great time for video, making sure everyone knows what their role is and learning the systems day to day. It’s a lot to cover but at the end of the day it’s just so guys learning and being students of the game and making sure that we’re prepared once game time comes.”
This marks Murray’s 4th season in the “O” — his first full year year with the Black-&-Gold and so far he likes what he see’s.
“We have a good mix of older guys and younger guys — guys that are in their 2nd and 3rd years.
So yeah, really I think that that’s good for team chemistry — it’s a whole mixture of guys — it’s good for the older guys, it’s good for the younger guys — I think overall it’s a real good gel, good mix.”
