Tall ships always draw big crowds. And Brockville is expecting plenty of both.
The city is hosting a tall ships festival, as many as 11 Masted sailing ships from around the world have assembled along the waterfront.
With names like “mist of Avalon”, “black jack”, and “pride of Baltimore.”
The 4-day spectacle gives visitors a chance to climb aboard.
It started this afternoon with a parade of sail and wraps up on Monday.
The festival is expected to attract thousands of people.
Dave Paul: “It injects about 4-million dollars into our local economy if we match what we did in 2013. At the pace of the sales of passports right now it looks like we’re going to be able to achieve. Weather looks great as you can see today. Again, the ships do draw a lot of people from far away.”
