KINGSTON – Dozens piled into the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel this afternoon for a vibrant inaugural event. The Kingston Tattoo and Arts Festival features 9 vendors and more than 40 tattoo artists from all over the world. Attendees could shop for unique art pieces or get tatted up on the spot. Even kids could get their own ink done… The temporary kind, of course. The event continues all day on Sunday. Organizers say the tattoo and arts festival will become an annual tradition in the limestone city.
Ashley Silversides/Tattoo Festival Co-Creator:
“We just want to continue to grow. We want to continue to bring in really amazing artists into the city. We have great artists here but we want to show Kingston what else exist. We want to keep expanding what it is to give back. If you love art, if you’re curious about tattoos. Anything sort of that way this is the place you want to be. We just want to bring people from all walks of life together.”
