“Its beautiful, simply ranks as one of the best in Canada and its amazing turf and the atmosphere of playing here is also amazing ..its brings up the morale and its just so motivating to come here and being able to play here…we’ve practised on it a couple of times but its nothing like playing an actual was crazy–the turf is made us come together as a team I’d say, its beautiful..we appreciate it so much.”

And to make it a happy home opener, Brittany Almeida scored the only goal in a 1-0 Queen’s victory over the Carleton Ravens.

“We’ve had a rocky start I’d say but this one was huge for our team –we came together as a team and the late goal by Brittany was amazing so we’ve got to keep it up.”
