“Ya, well right now were a lot younger than we were last year and I think we have a lot more committment..everyone is going to be here and giving it their all..I think thats the difference between this year and last year..everyone is going to show up night in and night out..were not going to have a short bench every night.”

It may be very early in the season but the Lansdowne native likes what he see’s in this year’s club

“I believe we have two really good goaltenders and we have some scoring ..we have some good depth and some younger defenceman..I think were going to be good and compete with everyone in the league.”

The Islanders are preparing for a tough home and home series this weekend against the defending Empire League champions, the Port Hope Panthers

“Ya, they should be good again but we beat them once last year and I think we can do it again..there obviously a strong team but so are we.”
