The Kingston Frontenacs won’t be setting the kind of records they did last year. It’s a different team for sure as the Black and Gold prepare for a new season and it starts tomorrow night (Friday) against the Barrie Colts.
Ted Nichol/Fronts Forward
“We’re going to surprize some teams this year and hopefully gain the respect we deserve.”
This will be Ted Nichols’ 3rd season with the Fronts — he’s had enough of the build-up. Let the real games begin.
“There’s nothing like getting the season started — the past month we’ve been working hard in training camp and the last 2 weeks of practices only so we’re eager to get things going on Friday.”
This is a very young team — and it might show early-on — but give it some time and good things should happen.
The Fronts are the defending East Division champs — breaking several franchise records including most wins and points.
Paul McFarland/Fronts Head Coach
“It’s a different group then we had last year -obviously there was a little bit more turn-over then last year but we’re definitely going to use that as motivation. I think that everything we’ve red as 8th, 9th or 10th in the conference — we’re definitely no stranger to that from last year. I think part of the fun about being with a younger team — along with some great veterans — their inexperience sometimes plays into our advantage — they’re not going to be as nervous going into some buildings that maybe a second or third year player might be so we have to use that to our advantage and now we have to push them everyday to get better.”
