No charges after lock down of two Trenton schools

Provincial Police say no charges will be laid after an incident that led to the lock down of two Trenton high schools.

At about 9:30 a.m. today, police responded to a report of person with a long gun in the Tripp Boulevard and Dundas Street West area.

Trenton High School and St. Paul Catholic Secondary School were put into a “hold and secure” mode as a precaution.

Just before 11 a.m. a man was located and taken into custody.

Police seized a plastic pellet gun and there was no danger to the public.

Shortly after that normal activities resumed at both schools.
