A South Frontenac Township man has been fined $2,000 after pleading guilty to charges under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.
On Monday, court heard that Steven Steele live trapped coyotes and foxes between January 2014 and March 2016.
He then kept them in a large fenced enclosure that was meant to be used to training area for hunting dogs.
Steele does not have a licence for trapping or training hunting dogs.
He was fined $650 each for trapping and transporting wildlife, and another $700 for keeping wildlife in captivity.
