The lawsuit against convicted sex offender and murderer Russell Williams by an Ontario woman has been settled.
Williams was convicted six years ago in the murders of two women.
Sexual assault victim Laurie Massicotte filed a $7 million suit against the province, Williams and his wife Mary Elizabeth Harriman in 2011.
In her statement of claim, Massicotte said she had been bound and sexually assaulted in her Tweed area home in September 2009.
She reportedly settled with province last year, but the action against Williams and Harriman remained open.
Harriman’s lawyer said the lawsuit against her and Williams was settled “very recently.”
Details have not been released.
Williams remains in prison serving a life sentence.
