Staff and volunteers at Queen’s University are preparing for a big, busy weekend ahead. Thousands will pack onto campus for homecoming 2016.
This year’s alumni reunion is an extra special celebration, as the universityy celebrates its 175th anniversary.
Hundreds of volunteers, both students and alumni have been preparing for this for months.
About 5,000 people are expected to attend homecoming weekend, and even more during the traditional football game.
“Working with those volunteers, and more recently, once students returned in September recruiting student volunteers to help celebrate alumni coming home. And, those student volunteers are a huge critical component of the weekends success because they are the on site, on the ground support for the weekend.” – Sarah Indewey, Volunteer Relations & Reunions, Queen’s Uni.
