Engineering giant SNC-Lavalin is planning to open a new Kingston office early next year.
The company says the local office will employ 10 to 20 rail and transit system engineering professionals with further expansion planned for the future.
“Kingston is the ideal location for our newest Rail & Transit Engineering office,” said Kevin George, Vice-President, Rail and Transit North America, Infrastructure Engineering.
“As well as being a fascinating, historic city and a great place to live, Kingston was selected to become a centre of excellence for systems engineering to support our existing and future major rail and transit projects in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.”
The new SNC-Lavalin office will be located at City Place at John Counter Boulevard and Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard.
