KINGSTON – It’s not homecoming weekend without an Aberdeen street party. The popular street was closed to vehicle traffic since earlier this afternoon as hundreds of students flooded the area in celebration of homecoming weekend. There’s cheers… Beers… And plenty of dance moves to go around and the street party is just getting started for these students. While the celebrations seem rowdy… A ramped up police presence will be on site to ensure everyone is being safe and responsible. Police say as the weekend continues they will be working to keep roads passable and keep large scale gatherings to a minimum, unless they are sanctioned.
“We all just get together. Have a great time. Meet people. Mingle. Mingling is a big part of homecoming.”
“We have lots of good people. Lots of energy. It’s a great place to be.”
