Queen’s University students flooded streets near campus Saturday night as homecoming parties broke out.
As a result, garbage and red cups were scattered on lawns and sidewalks Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, Kingston Police were out in full force patrolling the streets and making sure parties didn’t get out of hand.
According to police 144 tickets were handed out, mostly liquor related. There were 19 arrests, many which were public intoxication. And, 17 kegs were seized.
Police also posted to twitter saying that the new police horse, Murney, was slapped three times, while on duty. There were no injuries. The accused, 2 men and 1 woman, are to be charged with injury to an animal.
