Queen’s Postdoc’s vote in favour of strike

Kingston, ON, Canada / CKWS TV

Post-doctoral researchers at Queen’s University have voted overwhelmingly in favour of going on strike.

The strike vote was held after conciliation talks broke off over a week ago.

A potential strike would affect 175 members of Public Service Alliance of Canada, Local 901. The main issues in the dispute are wages and benefits.

Many of the Post-docs are parents and say cannot afford child care.
