Police looking for Jeep involved in hit and run

Kingston Police are asking for assistance in finding a black Jeep involved in a hit and run in a local park.

Police say that just after 9 p.m. Monday a 2007 Wrangler Sahara or newer was seen driving at a high rate of speed on Mack Street.

The driver ran two stop signs, at Helen Street and Alamein Drive, then jumped the curb and crashed into a play structure at Elder Park.

Witnesses reported two people get out of the Jeep to check the damage before driving off.

The vehicle was last seen driving the wrong way on Brock Street.

The driver’s side mirror and rear wheel flare were ripped off the car and it could have damage to the front end.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
