Westport man busted for drug trafficking in Kingston

A 37 year old Westport man is facing four drug trafficking charges after being nabbed by Kingston Police.

Police say they had been investigating a man for dealing in crystal meth over a period of time out of a pick-up truck.

A pick-up truck was stopped by drug unit officers at the corner of Unity and Westport Roads early Wednesday afternoon.

A search turned up quantities of crystal meth, fentanyl and hydromorphone hidden in the truck’s stereo system.

Cash and what is believed to heroin were also seized.

Charged is Lawrence Leadbeater.
