Suspect sought in Christmas Day stabbing

The Kingston Police Major Crime Unit is asking for help to find a suspect in a Christmas Day stabbing in the city.

In what police call an “unprovoked” attack, a man became aggressive with an acquaintance.

The victim was beaten about the head, before being stabbed several times in the torso.

The injured man was able to escape to another room where he locked himself in and called police.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and later released.

Police are looking for Cecil Mills, 43.

He is wanted on charges of assault, weapons dangerous and aggravated assault.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
