KINGSTON – The Salvation Army’s Kettle Campaign in Kingston has wrapped up for another season… Not only was the 290 thousand dollar goal reached…it was shattered — as the campaign reached a record breaking 310 thousand dollars in donations. The Salvation Army says thanks to about 600 volunteers and the generosity of tens of thousands of community members, local programs run by the Salvation Army will continue.
Sam McLeod/Kettle Campaign Coordinator:
“It goes towards things like our community pantry. It goes toward our housing program. It goes toward our after school program… a number of programs that we offer through the city. We never have enough to meet demand.”
