Rifle stolen from PEC home recovered

A rifle stolen from a Prince Edward County this week home has been recovered.

Provincial Police say a man returned to his Kimball Lane home in Sophiasburgh at about 10 p.m. Monday to find it had been broken into.

In addition to the rifle, a pellet gun, electronics and jewelry were stolen.

The pellet gun has also been recovered.

A 36 year old man known to victim has been charged with break, enter and theft, as well as possession of property obtained by crime.

He is due back in court next month.
