OPP have released more information about a police pursuit that ended in the Quinte region.
According to the OPP, officers from the Quinte West detachment received information about two people travelling eastbound on the 401, who were wanted on outstanding arrest warrants for robbery in Windsor and Chatham Kent.
Police began pursuing a Toyota Camry, after the driver exited the highway at Marysville and refused to stop when OPP officers from Napanee attempted to pull the vehicle over.
Police deployed a spike belt to try and stop the fleeing vehicle on Deseronto road.
When the vehicle finally stopped a 38 year-old woman from Chatham Kent and a 31 year old man from Windsor were arrested.
Neither was injured but the man was taken to hospital for a medical issue.
OPP say their investigation is still in the preliminary stages and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
