Cameron McGill/
“Were not thinking about it, we just play our game and the stats will come with that–personal stats, team stats–that all comes with playing hard, practising hard–playing our game–the stats will take care of themselves if we do our thing.”

Mat Goody/

“Were not even thinking about it and we really are’nt–Ya, its a nice stat and you play every game to win but at this point –we’ve suffered some pretty heavy defeats the last 2 years and our goal is to win those last 4 games in May ..I’m not going to make any bones about it–thats where we want to go and we feel were headed in that direction and this is just part of the journey.’

Solidifying the defence is captain McGill..the 20 year old from Peterborough talks about the motivation for the remainder of the season.

Its just hitting our stride for the play-offs..we’ve been improving our play and getting more team building things going on but its just getting momentum going so were playing at our best when the play-offs roll around…were not worried about the winning or losing were just focused on how we play as a team.”

The Panthers have been Schmaltz Cup finalists in 2015 and 2016…Goody admits that this years team is even better than previous clubs

“Right now its depth–were a little older…top to bottom were strong..we have some good leadership on the back-end and our goaltending has been strong..there all key components so if the right cards fall and we can put everything together at the right time we’ll be happy.”
