Ya, after a long month of exams its nice to get back on the ice–its obviously tough after a couple of weeks of eating turkey and stuffing and treats but we’ve had a hard 2 weeks of practise and were ready to go for the 2nd half–were excited.”

Friday’s game at the Memorial Centre against Oshawa is the battle for first place in the Eastern Conference….the Gaels currently lead the Ridegebacks by 2 points…

“Ya, its not too hard to get up for this one–after they beat us in the playoffs last year —I know there not going to take us lightly and were definitely not going to take them lightly so it will be a good match-up –its for first place so its exciting….were not going to take any team lightly this half and consistency is the biggest thing and it starts in practise–like we’ve been doing all week–it was a tough first week but this week we’ve going 100 per cent and I think were ready for the 2nd half.”

Doggett—now in his 2nd year—is a former Kingston Frontenac….the talented forward is currently the 4th leading scorer in the OUA with 25 points..

“I think last year was a really big learning experience for me but these guys really helped me through it–Downer, Darcy,Benny…the leadership group really helped me understand how to play in this league with older guys —the biggest thing is our workouts that we do here..its really helpful to be able to compete with stronger guys in this league so I give credit to a lot of guys.”
