A 39 year old Kingston woman is facing assault charges after threatening a man with a mop at a west end apartment building.
Police were called just after 7 p.m. Monday, after the superintendent of the building confronted a woman who – for unknown reasons – was mopping walls of a hallway.
The woman is alleged to have verbally abused the victim claiming he was harassing her.
She then went to the laundry room, where she struck the victim, knocking his cellphone to the floor and damaging it.
When she tried to hit him with the mop, he fled and called police.
Police arrived arrested the woman.
She is charged with assault and assault with a weapon.
