A 28 year old man of no fixed address is facing charges after Kingston Police seized a pellet pistol.
At about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers went to the area of Montreal and Joseph Streets to look into reports of a man with a handgun.
Just over 30 minutes later a suspect was found.
A pellet handgun, loaded with simulated bullets, was found in a backpack along with an open package of 500 more rounds and ten CO2 cartridges.
The man was on probation with a condition that he not possess a weapon.
He has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon and breach of probation.
