After a one year hiatus the Wolfe Island music festival is back on.
Organizers say the event is still in the early steps of planning but it will take place on August 11th and 12th.
The festival was cancelled last year for several reasons including the fact that the Wolfe Islander 3 was in dry dock for maintenance over the summer.
A line up of bands is still to be determined and organizers are looking for at least 100 hundred volunteers.
“We’ve had really great bands and I think that’s why the festivals had such a great reception and wanting to come back, a few that stand out for me we’ve had people that like July Talk, The Hanna Georga’s, The Constantines, The Weakerthans, a lot of great showcasing of great Canadian music and the nice part about that is we’ve also helped launch some really great careers of big Canadian musicians.”
