UPDATE: 3 arrested after John F. Scott Road collision

Kingston Police now say three people were arrested after a collision in the city’s east end.

Police were called to John F. Scott Road Monday morning.

The investigation revealed that the driver of an SUV intentionally rammed another vehicle.

He is then alleged to have assaulted a female passenger and broke a rear window of the SUV.

Both the driver and passenger fled the scene.

When police arrived, they believed the vehicle belonged to people wanted by police and more officers were called to search for the pair.

While searching a pedestrian was stopped on John F. Scott Road.

Police say he is a known associate of the wanted man and woman.

A search of the 23 year old turned up a handgun and a set of brass knuckles.

He now faces six weapons charges.

A short time later, the man and woman were found hiding in a small office at a nearby property.

A 38 year old man has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, leaving the scene of a collision, dangerous driving and drug possession.

A 33 year old woman is facing a drug charge.
