A 41 year old Kingston man has been slapped with a number of charges after allegedly stalking a former female friend.
A woman contacted police to report she had been harassed by a man since December.
Police say during that time the accused sent unwanted text messages, showed up unexpectedly at public places the victim attended, followed her in traffic and repeatedly drove up and down the street she lives on.
On Tuesday evening, the victim called to police to report the man was in his car near a home she was visiting.
When police made an attempt to arrest him, he sped off, but was located at about 7:45 a.m. today.
Charges against him include three counts of harassment, resisting arrest and dangerous driving.
