KINGSTON – Another candidate has thrown his hat into the ring, hoping to become city councillor for countryside district in the upcoming by-election. Jeff Scott is a familiar face in Kingston. He served as countryside’s councillor in the past. The trained horticulturalist and journalist says his platform includes helping the Third Crossing Project move along… And increasing safety around school zones by paving shoulders. He also wants to look into extending parkland along the K&P Trail and Little Cat Creek Conservation Area. The vote will take place on May 15th.
Jeff Scott/Countryside Candidate:
“I was councillor the countryside district for 4 years. I did do a really good job on it. There’s some big issues that had to be dealt with at the time including the ‘Samsung Solar Project.’ I think I can do really good, representing the rural area in the predominately urban city of Kingston .”
