St. Patrick’s day celebrations started early Friday but died off as the sun went down.
But police still dealt with their fair share…
Police say they they handed out over 40 tickets, including 22 to Queen’s students and 10 to local residents.
They also made 6 arrests and laid one criminal charge.
The numbers are larger than last year, but officers say they believe there was more alcohol available because of keg parties.
Police say they feel the day was overall a success for everyone involved.
Constable Cam Mack/ Kingston Police:
“There was no one seriously injured and there was no serious incidents.
So overall, we feel it was… it went well.
We kept most of the situation controlled to one block and one street.”
