“Its been an unbelievable weekend–the community of Napanee was out here strong every game which has been incredible for us–were very appreciative…we cant say enough about all the partners involved–we could not have done it alone and we have’nt done it alone..the city of Kingston, the town of Napanee and Queen’s University–U-Sports and the OUA evened helped us out every step of the way.”

Matt Holmberg/ Queen’s Coach

“You never get tired of these sort of things–we’ve had the priviledge in the last few years to go to 3 of these and so it never gets old..the players are so excited–even though there not travelling to it–its a great event to host..its great having family and friends here–the support of Queen’s being here and we’ve said several times to players throughout the weekend..stop and enjoy the moment because it goes by pretty quickly…both KIngston, Napanee and the Queen’s organizing committee…everyone has been tremendous..there’s a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes..I appreciate it–I know my players appreciate it and talking to other coaches and teams..they say its a pretty amazing event.”

“From everyone we’ve heard from–there thrilled with this event–great attendance every game–300-400 fans at every game..we almost sold out last Thursday with the Queen’s game so its been a great show of support for women’s hockey, no question.”
