KINGSTON – Close to 100 Kingstonians hit up cloverleaf lanes to Bowl for the Animals — an annual fundraiser hosted by the local Humane Society. The high energy event –in its 14th year– brought together 19 teams from the region. Many donned some fun costumes to show off their team spirt while striking out for a good cause. The goal is to raise 10 thousand dollars which will help feed, spay and neuter homeless animals at the shelter. Officials with Kingston Humane Society say funds will also give the organization a spring boost at a busy time of the year — as there’s typically an influx of adoptable pets.
“All of these animals are looking for their forever homes. We’re able to provide vet care for these animals and vet care for these animals until they do find their forever home.”
