Quinte West pair facing weapons and drug charges

A man and woman from Quinte West are facing weapons, drug and theft charges after a shoplifting incident at a local department store.

Provincial Police were called to Walmart in Trenton at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to investigate a theft.

On the way, officers spotted the suspect vehicle on Bay Street.

A search of the car turned up a quantity of knives and a 50 inch television that had be taken from Walmart.

Quantities of cocaine and marijuana were also seized.

Byron Schallock, 38 and Sabrina Tremblay, 28 have been charged.

Tremblay was released on a promise to appear in court, while Schallock was held for a bail hearing today.
