Kingston, ON, Canada / CKWS TV

KINGSTON – A sea of candles lit up Compton Street tonight as dozens of family members and friends gathered to pay tribute to the four victims  of a fatal multi-vehicle collision on the 401 near Kingston Thursday morning. Flowers and candles were set up on the steps of the home where two of the victims lived. Pierre Courville was 40 years old. His partner Chris Hanrahan was 44. Her son Mitchell Caird was 25 and his best friend Zack James was 21. Family members say the group was travelling back from the casino when the accident occurred. A funeral will be taking place next week in Sydenham. A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help the families who say they are very grateful so many people came out to remember the victims.

Brooke Courville/Daughter of Pierre:

“I feel very blessed and I know that my dad and everybody who was in the car crash is looking down at all the people because they were very kind people. Right now I am in shock. I still feel like he could walk through the door.”
