KINGSTON – Explore. Create. Be inspired. That’s the goal for the Tett Centre’s ‘Arts expo’ that kicked off today. From step by step dancing lessons to intricate weaving — community members could take part in several different workshops. This is the third annual Arts Expo — where all of the Tett artists open their doors to the public. Organizers say each year dozens pile into Tett for the unique and completely free event.
Bethany Garner/Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinners:
“And to invite people to come in and try different things. The weavers have a weaving set up for children next door. The potters are introducing their pottery. It’s Mother’s Day weekend so lots of visitors in the community.”
