An Amherstview man is facing charges in the U.S. after allegedly trying to open the door on an Air Canada flight from Jamaica to Toronto.
The man is also alleged to have made threats against members of the crew.
It happened on Monday.
After the man was subdued and restrained by passengers and flight crew members the plane landed in Orlando, Florida where he was taken into custody by the FBI and charged.
The accused has been identified as Brandon Cournyea, 33.
