Sweeping changes on the way for Ontario Municipal Board

Sweeping changes are planned for the Ontario Municipal Board — handing over more power to towns and cities. The OMB itself would cease to exist, being replaced by a local planning appeals tribunal. It would only be able to overturn council decisions if they don’t fall in line with the city’s official plan or provincial policies. Paul Soucy has local reaction.
