Tweed Inc. announces major expansion plans

Canada’s largest producer of medical cannabis has made a move to solidify itself as top producer ahead of next summer’s legalization.  “Canopy Growth Corporation” — the parent company of Tweed Inc. — announced plans on Saturday to build 5 more growing facilities across the country – in order to be ready to meet the demand for cannabis next July 1st. New facilities will be built in Drummondville Quebec, Fredericton, Bowmanville, Edmonton, and Yorkton Saskatchewan. This is in addition to another 300 thousand square feet of growing space at its current facility in Smiths Falls.
