Kingston man turns hobby into business thanks to Royal Opportunity

Kingston, ON, Canada / CKWS TV

A Kingston man has turned his hobby and passion for hunting into a new career – thanks to Prince Charles. Damien Pittman currently serves in the military – and is an avid outdoorsman. His favourite pastime is hunting waterfowl. A few years ago he started ‘Punisher waterfowl’ — a company that designs hunting gear more appropriate for the Canadian climate. Pittman was recently chosen through Prince’s Charities Canada – to take part in a business seminar at Dalhousie University to provide him with the necessary skills to turn his hobby into a career.

Damien Pittman: “As someone that’s getting ready to transition to life outside the military, I really had a confidence issue on what do I have that I could bring to the table to life outside the military and I was really struggling with that for a long time.”
