Kingston Police are looking for a lone male suspect after the Kawartha Credit Union was robbed.
It happened this afternoon at the credit union branch on Strand Boulevard near Taylor Kidd in the Bay Ridge West Plaza.
A man walked in the credit union and told the teller he had a weapon, but no weapon was seen.
He escaped on a bicycle with a quantity of cash.
The suspect was later seen ditching the bike on Westminster Place and getting into white Chrysler 300 style sedan with a black grill, black rims and crack on the driver’s side of the front bumper.
Police say the suspect is believed to white and was wearing Rastafarian type clothing which may have been discarded.
He could now be wearing a short sleeve shirt, shorts and low cut shoes without socks.
He is between 25 and 35 years old, about 6 feet tall and has a light coloured full beard.
Kingston Police detectives are on the scene.
