Kingston’s unemployment rate inched up in June, while the national rate dropped slightly.
Statistics Canada says the local jobless rate went to 5.5 percent.
That’s up one-tenth of a percentage point from May.
Across the country, the unemployment rate dropped one-tenth of a point in June to 6.5 percent.
Stats Can says more than 45,000 jobs were created across the country, with the majority being part-time.
