Queen’s university is honouring its researchers in its latest street banner campaign.
Signs have gone up along University Avenue and in the downtown core promoting the Nobel Prize win of Arthur McDonald.
Over the next twelve months – other notable researchers will be featured on the banners.
The university’s vice principal of university relations says it’s also important for students to be reminded of the achievements accomplished on campus and around the world.
Michael Fraser: “It was significantly important for the University – a real milestone for us. We’re tremendously proud of the work of Dr. McDonald and his colleagues at SNOLAB – and the rest of the physics team at Queen’s. We have researchers across a number of fields who are world-leading. We hope to highlight them and their work over the next twelve months.”
