Queen's names Dave McDowell full time coach for women's soccer program

Kingston –   Queen’s University has named Dave McDowell the new technical director for both the men’s and women’s soccer programs.  McDowell’s role includes providing the overall vision, leadership and administrative continuity – while capitalizing on years of university experience.  McDowell will also kick off the 2017 season as the women’s first full time bench boss.  McDowell is no stranger to the role.  He’s been the part-time head coach for the last 30-seasons. During that time – the two-time U Sports Coach of the Year has lead the Gaels to three national championships as well as five provincial titles.  McDowell was also the winner of the 2012 OUR Fox40 Coach of the Year award.  The women’s soccer team begins its 2017 season at Richardson Stadium on September 2nd against the Laurentian Voyageurs.
